Responsibility :
 ** Directly responsible for operation/refractory of Blast furnace and cast house.
 ** Monitors operating conditions of furnace and makes corrective actions as needed.
 ** Responsible for safety of crews.
 ** Responsible for maintaining environmental compliance 24 hrs/day and demonstrating compliance to cast house emission standards.
 ** Responsible for shutdown and startup procedures, including critical gas system isolating purges.
 ** Directly involved in the job and safety training.
 ** Works directly under the Shift Manager as well as in close communication with the other Furnace Operator and Process Coordinator.
 ** Provides a communication link between crew, Shift Manager and Process Coordinator.
