Fare Processing: IMS is the system where Sabre air pricing inputs data for Fares Class Application, Rules, City, NUC (Neutral Unit of Construction) update, QCP (Quiry City Pair) inquiry and QDR (QCP Directive Request) update. All this information is provided by GFS (Government Filing System) Log. The main source of information is ATPCO (Airline Tariff Publishing Company). Airlines file their fares through ATPCO.
Sabre: Is the end result of everything this Dept does. The Data is loaded by Tapes or Direct Links into Sabre.
It is the responsibility of this Dept to ensure Sabre Air Pricing Data Integrity, which means Pricing matches the carrier’s intention.
I was promoted as Assistant Quality Checking Officer , which includes a quality check on the filings done .i.e. rectifying errors in filings.
