** A 6 month mini project was done on the extraction of Nanoparticles under the supervision of Dr. Nishesh Sharma at Uttaranchal University.
Description :
The study was conducted to prepare and analyze Nanoparticles of Withania coagulans. The broad objectives of the project were:Synthesis of Nanoparticles, Characterization of Nanoparticles through SEM and Zeta-potential, Study of Size Distribution, Antimicrobial activity of Nanoparticles.
Laboratory Skills :
** Biochemistry and Immunological techniques- Antigen and Antibody Interaction, ELISA
** Microbial techniques- Spreading, Pouring, Streaking, Gram’s Staining, Biochemical reactions etc.
** Molecular Biology and recombinant DNA technology- DNA isolation, SDS-PAGE, Restriction Digestion, PCR (including colony PCR sequencing PCR), Cloning, Transformation, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, western blotting etc.
