Objective :
Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is a prominent area in image processing due to its diverse applications in internet, multimedia, medical image archives, and crime prevention. Improved demand for image databases has increased the need to store and retrieve digital images. Extraction of visual features color, texture, and shape is an important component of CBIR. Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) systems based on shape using invariant image moments. Moment Invariants (MI) and Zernike Moments (ZM) are available in the literature. MI and ZM are good at representing the shape features of an image.
