Working as Assistant Manager in 0.4MTPA Heat Recovery type Coke Oven Plant, designed by SSIT (China) in VISA Steel Ltd., Jajpur from July 2005 and continuing to till date.

Company Profile : VISA Steel is a 3000 corer turnover company which operates a 0.5 million TPA Special Steel Plant and 75 MW Power Plant at Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur. The current operations include 400,000 TPA Coke Oven plant (8 Batteries of 11 Ovens each with Stamp Charging facility), 225,000 TPA Pig Iron plant (250 Cu.m. Blast Furnace), 300,000 TPA Sponge Iron plant (2 x 500 TPA DRI Kilns), 50,000 TPA Ferro Chrome plant (2 x 16.5 MVA Submerged Arc Furnace), 75 MW Power plant (3 x 25 MW TG), 0.5 Million TPA Special Steel plant (70 T EAF with VD, LRF & Continuous Caster) and 0.5 million TPA Bar & Wire Rod Mill. The company plans to set up a 0.5 million TPA Iron Ore Sinter Plant, 300 TPD Lime Plant and 1 x 150 MW Captive Power Plant. Job Profile :
** Project work, Supervision, Execution, Modification & Maintenance of heat recovery type Coke Oven plant.
** Erectioning, testing, commissioning, maintenance of 2Nos of 1.6 MVA Transformer & also the 6.6 KV HT Switch yard with all the protection systems.
** Erectioning, testing, commissioning & maintenance of PCC, MCC, PDB, APDB, MLDB & PLC (Schneider Electric, Siemens) Panels.
** Speed control of AC motors using VVVF & Stator Excitation Voltage Control drives through Joystick master controllers.
** Maintenance with operation of Control and relay panels. Sound knowledge in loop testing & troubleshooting of Remote input & output panels.
** Erectioning, testing, commissioning & maintenance of conveyor lines operated by Schneider Electric –Modicon Quantum Module, Belt weigh Feeders, Grab Crane, Belt Weighers, Magnetic Separator Panel, AC Drives, Actuators, Pressure Transmitters, RTD, temperature recorder, temperature transmitters, pressure gauge, flow transmitters, flow switch, level transmitters and sensors, chute sensors and monitors, ZSS sensors and monitors, solenoid valves and control valves. We have modified the communication system of weigh feeder to get the proper data transmission in our existing network.
** Erectioning, Testing, Commissioning & maintenance of Imported Machines- Stamping machine, Pusher Cum Charging Car, Quenching Car-i.e.-Hydraulic power pack, Rotor resistance control of slip ring induction motor, Soft starter, star-delta starter panel, stator excitation control drive panels, Rotary & grizzly screen .
** Supervision of checking & testing of panel’s control wiring, PLC interfacing in-between motor control panels & PLC panels, Inputs outputs checking from motor control panels to PLC panels & vice versa.
** Also involved in all types of modification job like chute sensor and old pusher car modification in which we upgrade the relay logic system to plc operated system.
** Preparation of all documentation jobs related for the certification of ISO 9000:2008 and also faced internal as well as external auditing successfully as a certified internal auditor.
** Responsible for the procurement of various electrical spares through SAP.
Also checking the status of material and Stock in the store. Also involve in the committee to control the cost as well as spare consumption which has potential impact on the smooth running of plant.
** Checking of Sub Contractor and sub vendor bills during execution of project as well as maintenance.
PLC EXPOSURE :
** Knowledge of ladder logic programming used in PLC and programming of SCADA system.
** Executing a series of test to ensure that PLC, the ladder logic program, the I/O devices and associated wiring operate accordingly to specifications.
** Troubleshooting by identifying which output relay operates properly or not.
** Debugging the ladder logic program.
** Knowledge in Schneider Electric & SIEMENS S7-300,400 PLC system and Vijeo Citect SCADA system.
TRAINING COURSE :
** One month training at M.R.S.S of Nilachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, Jajpur, Odisha.
** One month training at M.R.T division of NESCO, Jajpur road, Odisha.
** Two days training programme of ISO 9001:2008 for internal auditor.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND :
** B.E in Electrical Engg. With 70% from B.P.U.T, Odisha in the year 2005.
** Diploma in Electrical Engg. With 61.89% from S.C.T.E &V.T, Odisha in the year 1999.
