Summary of Duties and Responsibilities :
** Visual Inspection of all Weld Joints.
** Preparing and review the working and mechanical quality control procedures & inspection and testing plans.
** Preparing and review the working and mechanical quality control procedures & inspection and testing plans
** Reviewing drawings/ Specifications for material and welding requirements to determine the necessary WPS/ PQR required assuring the integrity of joint.
** To providing technical guidance for preparation of welding procedure specification (WPS) for the project specific requirements.
** To assist with the selection & calculation of welding filler materials and guidance for procurement of welding machines & consumables.
** Witnessing and approval of WQT, PQR and Mechanical tests.
** Witness & monitor the Preheat, Post weld heat treatment are carried out according to the requirement of the WPS.
** Coordinate all activities in material Handling, Storage, Preservation etc as to ensure adequate protection & proper storage.
** Monitoring welding is done as per the WPS
** Ensure that the final alignment of structure steels after installation, & bolt tightness, welding activities carried out as per Company approved method statement of erection of structural steels & standards, specifications
** Conduct routine surveillance, inspections on the activities
** involving process platform structure, primary & Secondary structure, Pipe rack Structure, welding, painting, materials etc, including witness/review NDE results.
** Monitor implementation of contractor’s quality plans, inspection plans, procedures and work instruction.
Verify contractor’s records of calibration, inspection & test equipment.
** Check Revision of Latest Isometric used at site for construction. Co-ordinate with Field Engineering Department for latest Revision , Design Modification and Technical Queries etc,
** Review and endorse, Witnessing of welding procedure qualification tests to the Company’s specification
** Assist and or participate in quality & HSE audits and other inspection as applicable
** Inspection for installation of steam tracing and their Leak Test
** Gratings inspection after erection as per approved drawing in process platform & structure.
** Inspection of Tank Bottom plates, Roof plates laying and fit up inspection.
** Inspection of Tank Roof Rafter erection and fit up inspection.
** Coordinate/ witness Hydro test with full of water as per client requirements.
