Detection of Brain Tumor from MRI Scan :
The objective of the project is to detect the presence of brain tumor in a patient’s MRI scan images of the brain. Noise removal operations using High Pass Filtering and Median Filtering methods, segmentation and morphological operations are carried which are steps of image processing and finally the location of the brain tumor was detected and the area of the tumor estimated.
In this project complete noise removal, the area calculation and accurate location of brain tumor was successfully performed.
My role in this project has been in building Pre-processing block which includes noise removal operations and first module of Post-processing Block which includes segmentation operations.
MatLab was used for building the functional blocks of this module.
