** Prepare high quality transformer design document as per customer contractual technical specification using design specific software
** Understanding client’s requirements and communicating it to the Product Team in order to translate business needs into system, scope, solution and design definition
** Designing AN, ONAN, ONAF, OFWF and KNAN based transformers up to 220 KV Class
** Engineers solutions and products such as switchgear, distribution, and traction transformers
** Preparation of BOM, Core Card, Winding Card creation and ordering of parts through SAP
** Performing thermal, transient and short circuit verifications of designs
** Reviewing & validating designs and ensuring that they are in accordance with preset technical, safety & environmental standards
** Initiating special engineering projects related to design improvements, cost reductions, new materials, new components, new design techniques
** Involved in cost scheduling for transformers, preparation of tender and repair designs
** Selection of components like bushings, tap changers, and cooling equipment
** Train other electrical engineers and monitor their output of design work
** Carry out workshop technical evaluations and assist with fault finding and diagnostics of power and repair transformers
** Experience with the design of customized transformers of Pad-Mount Distribution Transformers
