Academic Project :
Project Title : Direct Torque & Indirect Flux Control Of Brushless D.C.
Motor
Project Duration : 1 month (10th Jan 2011 till 9th Feb 2011)
Organization :Indian Railways - Integral Coach Factory (ICF)
Description :
** Investigation of the position-sensor less direct torque and indirect flux control brushless D.C. (BLDC) motor with non-sinusoidal back electromotive force.
** In this study, a novel and simple approach to achieve a low frequency torque ripple free-direct torque control (DTC) with maximum efficiency based on DQ reference frame is presented.
** The proposed sensor less method closely resembles the conventional DTC scheme used for sinusoidal AC motors such that it controls the torque directly and stator flux amplitude indirectly using d-axis current.
** This method does not require pulse width modulation and proportional plus integral regulators and also permits the regulation of varying signals.
In-plant Training :

** National Training Program on “Electricity Distribution Franchise” sponsored by Ministry Of Power,
** GOI through REC & TANGEDCO & Conducted by Appadurai chair for Power System, DEEE, CEG, Anna University, Chennai - 3 Days.
