Vedanta Aluminium Limited (VAL) has set up a Greenfield Alumina Refinery in Orissa with a capacity of 1 Million tons per annum. It is also setting up a 0.5 MTPA Aluminum Smelter, 1215 MW Captive Power Plant. The Group Company Sterlite Energy Limited is also setting up a 2400 MW Independent Power Plants at Jharsuguda. VAL is one of the world’s premier alumina refining complex in terms of its technology, human resources and high quality infrastructure.

Job Role  :
Executing projects relating to Vedanta CSR/R&R corporate vision and mission in the core areas of Health, Education, Sustainable livelihood, Sports and Culture and Infrastructure Development.

 Accountable for  :
** Project conceptualization, perspective building, implementation, monitoring, review and documentation of ongoing projects.
** SHG formation, conducting meetings, regular monitoring on the formula of panchasutra as laid down in microfinance guidelines.
** Promoting micro enterprises (cluster based and individuals) at community level.
** Campaigning on awareness generation for protection and preservation of ecosystems
** Implementing Malaria eradication campaign in district of Jharsuguda in coordination with district administration.
** Liaising with district administration for implementation of ICDS project.

Ensuring  :
** Proper implementation of SSA project in peripheral villages.
** Universal coverage under water and sanitation project in coordination with district administration.
** Livelihood for the displaced community.
** One time cash compensation for PDF
** Training on Resettlements and rehabilitation policy of Orissa 2006 to field workers.
** Ensuring R&R compliances for 145 oustees of VEDANTA
** Managing Resettlement and Rehabilitation of displaced families in and around the project site.
