Summary :-
The present study is the first attempt to quantify selected genes of biotic and abiotic stress defence pathways in mustard plant during aphid infestation.The study helped in elucidating the reason for huge loss incurred by the farmers while growing GM 3 variety of mustard in the field as its registering low resistance to aphid attack.
The study also points to the urgent need for development of resistant varieties of mustard to combact aphid attack.
