RESPONSIBILITIES & NATURE OF JOB :
** Responsible for Managing Health, Safety and Environmental issues for the organization Legal Obligations.
** Maintain Hazard awareness program, Evaluate legal compliance & investigate/Inspect-minor/major/near-miss incident.
** Statutory compliance with OHSAS (Occupational Health Safety Assessment Series) with respect to Environment and Implementation of OSHAS 18001 & EMS 14001 system at site & its documentation.
** Evaluating fire risk assessments in premises, Undertaking fire safety inspections and carry out risk analysis,Familiar with the principles, methods and procedures of fire prevention.
** To provide safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
** To prepare Monthly internal Audit, EHS Report and monthly EHS Plan. Conduct Training Programs.
** To carryout Plant Safety Inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
** lead and conduct Audits as per the defined Audit program, with the objective of assessing compliance with applicable requirements, and identify opportunities for continual improvement
** To conduct the various Mock Drills & Fire Drills at premises.
** Maintained Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on chemicals used in the workplace.
** Overall implementation and follow-up of safety operating plan to assigned area
** Emergency Preparedness - Identifying the existing emergencies in coordination with concerned department head.
** Identification of high risk operations/activities/processes along with Sr.
Officers of plant.
** Preparing JHA/SWP/SOP/HIRA for all job activities.
** Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
** To identify safety training needs and target groups for all the levels of employees on the basis of various feed backs, observations, future needs, analysis- reports & appraisal forms.
** Safety Audit and Inspection of shop floor to find out unsafe act and unsafe condition to eliminate them.
** Identifying and controlling the environmental hazards and risk
** Legal Obligations, Administration of SHE (Safety Management Program), Project/Site Audits, Meetings, Accident/Incident Investigations, Client Liaison, Manage Health Risk of Employees, Safety training, and Physical Safety on site.
** maintain the EHS legal register and lead the process of assessing compliance with applicable legislation, and implement targeted action where compliance issues are identified
** To support the business units in conducting incident investigations, undertake root cause analysis and develop appropriate learning alerts
** Perform other duties as assigned.
