M.Tech Project Title  : Mathematical modeling and optimization of hot air, microwave and combined hot air-microwave drying of button mushroom slices (Jan-Jul, 2011)

Project Details  :
To evaluate the efficacy of air, microwave, and combined air –microwave drying techniques for mushroom slices.
Compare the measured findings (moisture content, moisture ratio and drying rate) at different drying temperature, microwave powers and in different drying methods and determine the best fit model.
Study the drying kinetics and evaluate the best fit model for drying data of mushroom slices with the help of statistical software and Study the effective moisture diffusivity of mushroom slices at different drying conditions.
Analysis of quality parameters like color, texture and rehydration ratio of dried slices.
