Project Title : Encoding & Decoding using Low Density Parity Check Codes

For multimedia data transmission, there is a need for high data rate with less probability of error. These codes are very much suitable for wireless data communication.

They shift the complexity to the transmitter (and the majority of the power requirements), simplifying the receiver function and there by lowering power requirements in the receiver portion of mobile devices in wireless LANS. In this project, encoding and decoding of message bits successfully done through MATLAB 6.5 software simulation using message passing algorithm.

The following project is done as part of curriculum in M.E. :
Project Title : Implementation of Spread spectrum Data Link
Organization : Research Centre Imarat, Hyderabad.
Description :
In Digital Communication System, Spread Spectrum signals are used for secured communication applications. The project work includes direct sequence Spread Spectrum signal generation and demodulation. The Demodulation is a synchronization process in which coarse signal acquisition and signal tracking are carryout. Simulation of synchronization process is crucial. Initially code acquisition is carried out is 2-D serial search. Once signal is properly acquired the simulation is entered into tracking mode in which fine code and carrier tracking is performed. The carrier tracking is achieved using Costas Loop and code tracking is performed using Delay Locked Loop.
The entire simulation is carried out using Matlab. The algorithm for code acquisition and code tracking are coded in VHDL for hardware implementation.
