As industries are growing in tremendous manner, there are number of monitoring tools equally getting developed to monitor system and network environments.
As different monitoring tools will have different functionalities, not a single tool can afford all the functionalities required for an environment.
Also most of them will be costly for small and medium business environment. SMB (Small and Medium Business) cannot invest so much of cost for monitoring a small infrastructure. Open source tools can be used in place of enterprise tools. So it is preferred to have a cost effective open source monitoring solution for small and medium business by integrating Nagios, OpenNMS with OpenRT.
