Strabag AG Austria as leader of joint venture with Indian construction company afcons was awarded the contract for the construction of the 8.8 Km long & 10 m wide prestigious Rohtang Pass Highway Tunnel Project near Manali, Employer is the Government of india through its subsidiary Border Roads Organisation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
HR / IR :
** Recruitment– Responsible for screening, short listing and conducting Interviews.
** Salary and Wage Administrationwith focus on Leave management, attendance details etc.
** Training & Development– Responsible for facilitating and executing the Training and Development programs for all departments.
** Man Power Planning- Topredict man power plans; design job description and job requirements; look after the expected losses due to transfers, retirement, black listed employees; deal with replacements due to death, dismissals and promotions etc.; motivate and develop the sub ordinates for internal promotions.
** Performance Management- To facilitate, monitor & follow-up in order to ensure effective and timely completion of the Performance Appraisal process with focus on KRA so as to foster a performanceoriented culture and to form an effective basis for rewarding and developing employees.
** Compensation and Benefits– Assist the Higher Management in chalking out various HR policies for providing welfare and benefits to the workforce. Also handle fatal / non fatal accident cases at workplace and settle the claims as per Employee Compensation Act 1923.
** Statutory compliances  : To make sure, all the statutory compliances related to all applicable Acts and Lawsare strictly adhered to, well in time, with focus on current amendments made in various Acts.
** Dealing with Sub Contractors and PRW’sunder The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act 1970 and Rules 1971.

IR / ADMINISTRATION :
** Considering Human Resources as the most precious asset and thus exposure to nurturing human relations as a tool for sustained improvement in productivity and quality.

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. is a front runner in the engineering construction for the last 8 decades. It has executed over 300 bridges, 13 Hydel and 4 Nuclear Power Plants, 140 Kms of Tunneling and 1000 Kms of Roads and Expressways. I am working in its ambitious Kashmir Rail Project, awarded to it by Northern Railway, Government of India. Here in this project, HCC Ltd. has to make 11 km long Railway Tunnel.
