2013-2016- Ph.D in Life Sciences from Guru Nanak Dev University.
Pre-Ph.D course work with C.G.P.A 9.44 (84.02%).
Thesis title : Effect of lectins on Red Blood Cells of Patients with Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Brief Synopsis of Research :
During my Ph.D I worked on "Effects of Lectins on Red Blood Cells of Patients with Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus". It is an important contribution in the field of Lectinology and diabetes mellitus.
The vast number of data generated by the study will immensely help to explain the red cell membrane specificity of the patients with Diabetes mellitus. The research has highlighted the different patterns of Hemagglutination activity of the anti-LH lectin.
Erythrina lithosperma with diabetic red blood cells, along with various properties of the anti-LH lectin i.e. total protein estimation, total carbohydrates estimation, sugar inhibition, effect of change in pH, temperature and ions on Hemagglutination activities. The findings of the present study will contribute immensely in the field of diabetic research, especially in red cell membrane specificity.
It is an excellent example of well planned, nicely formulated and executed design for generating meaningful results. A vast number of recent references were also included in the study as its strength. The outcome of the present study will be useful in the field of Diabetic research and Lectinology.

2011-2013- M.Sc (Hons.) (Molecular Biology and Biochemistry) From Guru Nanak Dev University with CGPA- 9.29 (82.68%).
2009-2011- B.Sc (Biotechnology) From D.A.V College, Amritsar affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University with 83.17% marks.
2008- 10+2 from Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Amritsar affiliated to Punjab School Education Board, Mohali with 68.22% marks.
2006- Matriculation from St. Mary’s Girls School, Amritsar affiliated to Punjab School Education Board, Mohali with 81.06%.

1) Isolation of Cry protein from Bacillus thuringenesis strains from soil samples.
2) Amplification of Animal Lectin Gene by Polymerase chain reaction.
3) Bioinformatics tools and its application in research work.
4) Characterization and identifying different Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains from patients infected with TB.
