Job Responsibilities  : 1.5 MW WIND MILL GENERATOR ROTOR AND SUPPORTING STRUCTUERS INSPECTION & MANUFACTURING AT VENDOR SITE.

Production  :-
Entirely responsible for achieving Welding & Fabrication Shop Production targets.
Prepared Monthly and Weekly schedule considering orders in hand, resource requirement & customer delivery dates.
Checked & ensured all Technical inputs like Drawings, QAP, etc and all corrective measures were taken in case of discrepancies.
Provides BOM details to stores and gets availability / shortage of material from stores & co-ordinate with various departments and gathered information on all shortage materials.
Ensured that all production materials were available and communicated to procurement department when needed.
Decide and prepare list of in house production items and subcontracted items along with part drawing & right selection of subcontractors as per purchase procedure and issue of PO copy & material with relevant drawings to the subcontractor.
Co-ordinate with purchase department to stock material ordering & fabrication accessories.
Monitor and control expenses on In-house process & subcontracting Items.
Monitoring project progress with the department and training junior staff members.
Organize and attend technical meetings to discuss and give proposals for non-constructible design related issues.
Organize technical meetings of Subcontractors to discuss Drawings, Material, Delivery, Cost and process.
Developing and implementing process methods & its controls to improve cost saving, Delivery & Quality.
Implement production procedure and quality control systems &analyzing production, maintenance and other operational reports, to detect production problems & take Corrective action.
Ensure the availability of machine equipment, tool and utility in perfect condition and look after that the repair work / maintenance attended timely without much loss of down time.
Identify new technological needs of process and implement new technologies for the production to reduce cost and save time & inform to Management.
Acting on constructive feedback given by management staff, other department, customers and vendors to improve performance.
Fill up Welding Log book & WPQ.

QUALITY WORK  :
Verify thoroughly our P.O., purchase Specification, Drawing, QAP requirement & Vendors internal inspection reports before proceeding with inspection.
Ensure all the Dimensions mentioned in the “required” column are specified with “tolerance” as per Drawing or as per Tolerance standards.
Verify the actual dimensions & records the same.
Verify the following with all vendors who are performing the welding.
Availability of Qualified WPS & PQR
Availability of Qualified welders & their WPQ record.
Ensure, only qualified welder, are engaged in our jobs.
Ensure approved brands of welding consumables are only used in our jobs, with recommended redrying procedures.
Ensure the welders are having “Portable Ovens” for storage of electrode till they use.
Ensure all the part numbers as per BOM are fitted in the job.

Welding check  :
Ensure the required “fillet size” & “weld length” are achieved.
Use fillet gauge or templates to check the fillet size.
Conduct weld visual examination to ensure there is (no cracks, no lack of fusion, lake of penetration, no undercut, no open porosity, no craters, no spatters, no overlaps)
Insist for rotation of jobs whenever inaccessible.

Material Testing  : -
Lab testing Physical, chemical, Micro, Macro as per material STD (Testing Witness/ report Reviewed).

NDT Tests  :-
RT, DP, UT, MPT, Hydro test.

Technical Qualifications  : RT / UT / MPT / DPT Level–II.

Known STD  : -
