Company Profile : Our company sai spurthi pvt power ltd is a hydro power plant located at chunchi doddhi in Kanakapura district of Karnataka. It is a private operated power plant installed in year 2003.It is a power plant of capacity 10.25 MW, a 3unit Plant with 3.417 MW each. It is a plc based power plant installed by BFL, has a head of109m from the forebay level and uses a horizontal Francis turbine of runner dia 925mm.It uses the water from Arkavati River and all Bangalore waters for power generation.

Responsibilities handled :
GENERATION :
Maintenance of load in accordance with water level at the forebay.
Maintenance of the temperatures of general and turbine bearings.
Maintenan
ce of the oil pressures at the GLOPU and TOPU.
Checking the impurities in the oil of the GLOPU, TOPU periodically.
Filtering of the impurities by using Electro static liquid cleaner.
Checking and assisting the crew in greasing and repairs if any.
TRANSMISSION :
Maintain required level of oil in transformers of the substations.
Maintain the optimum load condition on the transformers.
Maintain the gas level in SF6 circuit breakers and get them filled.
Maintaining the load on the line in accordance with the total load and line capacity.
Maintain the battery charging to protect bearings in case of sudden loss of grid.
CONTROL ROOM :
Checking the readings before starting the units in Generator Management Relay and Transformer management relay.
Checking the temperatures of the bearings in PLC and manual.
Checking the grid and the condition of the breakers before starting.
Starting the unit in accordance with water level as how many are necessary for optimum power production.
Clearing and after the turbine comes to rated speed as by the speed sensor recorded starting the unit at the rated speed and keeping the load using PLC SLC5/08.
Last is to maintain the records
