Description :
BEL (Bharat Electronics Ltd.) is an organization that works on various Electronic equipments like RADARs, Telephone equipments, etc. and is responsible for the following areas : designing, manufacturing, coding, testing, support and sales.
During my summer training I visited came to know about the various departments present in the organization like HR department, Research and Development, Support, Testing, Designing, etc. During the period of training I was assigned the RADAR section where I came to know the various equipments required to design a RADAR and the programming done on it for its successful working, the testing to be done on it and finally the sales part.
Organization : Doordarshan Relay Kendra, Moradabad Role:Summer Trainee
Description :
The Doordarshan Relay Kendra, Moradabad also named as LPTV (Low Power TELEVISION) is the place to receive signals through receiver from the relay center and transmit them through transmitters. The basic purpose behind this is to receive the R.F. signals using less power transmitters i.e. of 1Kwatt and transmit them around 35 or 40Km.

Tester using Micro controller 89c52
This project is designed by me during my curriculum training which contain three modules :
a)Microcontroller Connectivity
b)Key Pad Connectivity
c)Output Process
The Digital I.C. tester is used to test the Digital/Logical ICs using two 89c52 micro controllers and one LCD display. One behaves as the master and another one is the slave. Various IC nos. are feed to the slave micro controller using microprocessor programming.
Initially we will enter the IC number of IC to be tested using a keyboard which is then displayed on the LCD display screen. This IC no. is then passed to the slave 89c51, which compares the IC no. and checks whether the inserted IC is right or wrong. But there is a limitation that it can check only those ICs whose subroutine is present in the master IC.

VCD player is designed by me during my Diploma curriculum. This project aimed at designing a device capable of reading any Video/Audio CD. In this project I worked on assembling of the following sections :

Topic : Surface-conduction electron-emitter display (SED)
Description :
A surface-conduction electron-emitter display (SED) is a flat panel display technology that uses surface conduction electron emitters for every individual display pixel. The surface conduction emitter emits electrons that excite a phosphor coating on the display panel, the same basic concept found in traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions. This means that SEDs use tiny cathode ray tubes behind every single pixel (instead of one tube for the whole SED technology applies the electron-phosphorus concept, but radically changes one key element : the electron mechanism. Instead of a single electron gun, SED sets have one electron emitter for each pixel.
