Professional Experience :
6 months experience in Diagnostic laboratory of Kasturba Medical College Hospital, Mangalore.
Work Responsibilities :
Experience in the preparation of various stations and media used in the laboratory and their quality check
Processing isolation and identification of pathogenic Microorganisms from specimens like Blood, CSF, other body fluids, pus, sputum, urine, faeces, throat, ear, nasal swabs.
Processing of specimens suspected for Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Performing interpreting antibiotic susceptibility test (AST) for bacteria and their quality check
Handling of ophthalmic Microbiology which deals with isolation and identification of pathogens from corneal ulcers, conjunctival swab.
Isolation and identification of fungus / yeast like organism (YLO) from the suspected sample
Experience in preservation of all bacteria and fungal culture.
Analysis of water, air and milk.
