A job oriented project for 6-months had been done in biotechnology subject on evaluation of the antimicrobial activity and phytochemical study of cissus quadrangularisunder dr. Rupa guha nandi at sri sathya sai college, bhopal.
Description :
this study is to investigate the antimicrobial activity and phytochemical constituent of combined plant extracts the antimicrobial activity and phytochemical constituent ethanolic and ethyl acetate of cissus quadrangularis was investigated the crude extracts were analysed for the presence of phytochemical constituent the crude extracts ice plant with various other solvents like ethanol,diethyl eyther and distilled water crude extracts revealed the presence of flavonoids,alkaloids tannins and phenolic compounds the extracts were tested for antimicrobial activity against certain microorganisms such as escherichia coli,aspergillus flavus,aspergillus niger.
They show the significant antimicrobial activity against the above mentioned organism this one of inhibition in mm was recorded since ancient ages plants have served humans beings as a natural source of treatments and therapies amongst medicinal herbs have gained attention because of its white use and less side effects the result lead to the conclusion that the extract of cissus quadrangularis process is effective antimicrobial activity.
