Having joined as Junior Manager and managing a team of 6 members, we sourced accounts for the
Bank in terms of current, saving and fixed deposits. Got upgraded to Asst.Manager and given a role of Branch Head with one of the branches of the Bank situated in the Waltair Club which is a social club. Opened almost 1600 accounts of members there and rose the branch to a 10 crore branch in 3 years.
Further got upgraded to a Dep.Manager and in course Manager and handled SME and Corporate banking roles which are a little expanded further on.Responsibilities in Various roles :Manager, Wholesale Banking : Responsible for identifying, approaching and converting high net worth individuals and Corporate into Bank clients and managing the key relationship with them thereafter. Corporate banking had a vertical called Financial Institutions Groups (FIG), which I handled and target the Government undertakings and Public sector undertakings which in Visakhapatnam include the MMTC, Dredging Corporation of India, Indian Navy, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (Steel Plant) Shipyard, LIC branches etc.
I handled all these undertakings for vendor payments, dividend warrant payments, providing Cash Management Systems to organizations having business transaction in remote places as to receive payments and clearances on time.With the entire above portfolio FIG also has accounts of trusts, societies, charitable organizations, schools, hospitals, travel agents and shipping companies.With FIG I have been responsible for opening current accounts/saving accounts and liabilities of all the PSU’S and Government undertakings.
