Then seeds were sterilized with 0.1% HgCl2 for 4-6 minutes followed by rinsing with sterile distilled water four to five times. After rinsing, the seeds were blotted on sterile filter papers and inoculated on callus induction medium in petri dishes for a week. Callus induction was observed and after sub culturing the embryogenic calli were infected with Agrobacterium EHA105 strain containing the gene of interest. The putative transgenic obtained were used for molecular analysis for confirmation.AREA OF INTEREST :
