** Favored relevant points and reasons as to why ‘rape is rape’ irrespective of the Marital Status of a woman. Explained various cases where several women were denied justice just because she was married to the perpetrator. Explained the judicial standpoint and the present position of law.
** Ended up proposing a Model Framework (draft) to show how Marital Rape shall be included as a crime under the existing laws and what changes may be required.
