JOB DESCRIPTION :
** To ensure and support line management's responsibility of implementing IOT HSE management system requirements. To provide support and guidance, as required, to line management, in regards to best practice so that HSE in incorporated in the day to day operations of the business unit.
** To ensure relevant HSE resources and personnel are deployed to provide day to day support, to projects and departmental requirements. To coordinate HSE activities, within the area of responsibility and report as required to the corporate HSE manager, performance, incidents and accidents and progress against business units targets.
** To facilitate the implementation of departmental activities, including, training, audits, inspections, client meetings, accident investigations and corporate reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide support to Corporate HSE Manager and acting as lead HSE at site :
** Ensure, in liaison with the Corporate Health, Safety and Environment department and in accordance with laws, rules and Corporate procedures, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of Company Health, Safety and Environment management systems, pursuing compliance with OISD, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
** Promote occupational health and safety within an organisation and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
** Facilitate internal auditing and external auditing as per divisional audit schedule and ensure tracking and close of remedial action.
** Inspect workplaces and workplace equipment, such as scaffolding, to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks
** Coordinate accident / injury investigations within area of responsibility and where necessary as per requirement, lead investigations and ensure tracking and close out of CAR's.
** Coordinate inspections of project and facility operations and carry out management "walk throughs' monthly with site management. Monitor housekeeping program to consistently improve its standards.
** Ensure that workplaces conform with all HSE procedures and safety standards
** Advise and assit management on HSE matters, to ensure implementation of HSE management system and all client requirements within the area of jurisdiction
** Make sure that personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, footwear and safety helmets, is being used in workplaces according to regulations

** Manage the HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule
