This is one of the specialty hospital with 150 bed the hospital department with ICCU, General ICU, CTVS, Medical, surgical, burn unit, pediatric unit, ENT, Ophthalmic, Orthopedic, Urology, Nephrology, Gynecology, neurology etc., one nurse is looking after one to Eight patients. Duties and responsibilities include care and planning prompt intervention and evaluation of implement nursing action and total care of the unit.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Take care of patient BIPAP, CPAP condition monitoring of Vital signs, monitoring of ECG, calculation of drug dosage and provide medication.
Providing chest physiotherapy assisting in postoperative experience, assisting in inceptive Spirometry, Oxygen Saturation, Fluid Electrolyte level carrying out blood investigations.
Assisting the patient to undergo C.T. Scan, MRI, X-RAY, Ultrasound, ECG, Bone Scan, Bone Marrow, Liver Biopsy ICD, etc in proper time assisting in the early ambulation of the patients handing and taking over of equipments and drugs.
Blood transfusion giving IV Infusion, shifting out of patient to the wards, transportation of patients to operation theater, assisting in tracheotomy pleural tapping dressing, suturing, echo, insertion of C.V.P. Line ABP line cut down of arteries.
Conducting/assisting – in-service education classes
Proper I/O chart maintain, giving follow up advices.
