Job responsibilities :
** New Product Development :
** To lead the Team on Tech review – Risk assessment - TFC sign off – Developmental timeline sign off. **
Carry out the development cycle steps :
** Design verification, prototyping, process & product validation, pilot batch development and documentation.
** Responsible for direct communication with customer on shipping notice, RFQ Discussions, Sample approval and PPAP approvals.
** Work on – PFD – PFMEA – CP – Gauge review – Measurement protocol-PPAP initiations.
** Organize developmental team meetings with group leader to review project status.
** Good project management skills to drive team reach mile stones.
** APQP – PPAP – MSA – SPC -Jigs – fixtures – tooling - RM etc as per development plan.
** Designing the process as per the requirement of customer drawing.
** Translate customer specific requirements pertaining to product, process and packaging to the development in New Products.
** Interaction and discussions with Marketing, Design, Purchase, Production & Quality to execute the new projects on time.
** Ensure Quality Gate documentation.
** Design and development of gauges and fixtures required for new products and improve the productivity in production.
** Conducting gauge R&R, ISIR and Process capability studies for new projects.
** Implementing cost saving initiatives achieving cost reduction through value engineering, reduction in breakdown, rework and waste elimination.
** Work towards reduction of cycle time & improve quality of the processes.
** Reduce Manufacturing cost and improve quality of the processes/product by implementing Lean systems and kaizen activities.
** Support the Operation team to successfully productionize New Projects.
** Submitting 8D corrective action to customer on project related customer complaints.
Production Team :
** Ownership on actions for improving Product Quality.
** Responsible for driving improvements in produ
ct quality related to rejections from customers & internal yields.
** Preparation and approval of process work sheets, work instructions, test sheets.
** Train & Evaluate production members to carry out jobs & deliver quality output
** Responsible for quality of output from the manufacturing line - Track and close quality issues in the manufacturing line.
** Execution of assigned tasks in product transfer programs.
** Review and approval of NCR and MRR disposition tasks.
** Interface with Supplier Quality on supplier related defects.
** Knowledge of machining processes like Milling, Grinding, Drilling, Honing, Tapping, surface treatment and finishing operations etc.
** Knowledge on Molding, sintering, Hipping and heat treatment processes.
Quality Team :
** Monitoring day to day rejections on line & taking corrective actions to improve yield.
** Planning special gauges & source inspections to detect mechanisms in production.
** Working with the suppliers to improve quality and productivity.
Production in charge :
** Trouble shooting of PLC controlled Vacuum sintering furnaces & Heat treatment vacuum furnace.
** Allocate and review task to the operators.
** Execute production quantity as per plan.
** Ensure monthly target quantity is met by putting all possible efforts.
** Utilize all available resources to achieve maximum productivity.
** Strong customer focuses and ensures customer demand is met on time.
** Solution oriented towards any problem.
** Active member of continual improvement team and participate in executing the improved projects.
** Ensure accident free environment by complying with EHS requirements.
** Strong disciplinary control over team, using good conflict & man management skills.
** Promote team working and create comfortable environment between operators.
