PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :
Since FEB – 2008 to December 08th worked with GENTING LANCO POWER INDIA PRIVATE LTD., (Combined cycle power plant) (LANCO KONDAPALLI POWER PLANT) involved in all commissioning activates inclusive of all individual drives & commercial operation of plant & presently working for GMR group at Rajahmundry for Phase-II .
PLANT DESCRIPTION :
Lanco kodapalli power plant (PHASE-II), kondapalli
Capacity : 366 MW (100%merchant operated)
Gas Turbine : GE make GE MS9001 FA, 233MW at 29 deg C(250MW at ISO)
Hrsg : Thermax make with HP flow 280 t/hr, IP flow inclusive or reheater43 t/hr & LP
Flow of 37 t/hr & BFP suction from LPdrum
Steam Turbine : HARBIN make 133 MW (ABB Controls)
GMR Rajahmundry power plant (PHASE-II), vemagiri,
Capacity : 2*383.77 MW
Gas Turbine : GE make GE MS9001 FA, 239.58MW.
Hrsg : L&T make
Steam Turbine : ALSTOM make 144.19 MW.
RESPONSIBILITIES HANDLED :
** Operation & monitoring of Gas Turbines (GE) & HRSG (triple pressure), Harbin Steam turbine (china) make, ABB STALL Steam Turbine and 220 KV / 400 KV Double bus bar type & GIS switch yard.
** Safe startup & shutdown of Units and loading/unloading as per system requirement and handling emergencies.
** Coordination with maintenance departments for carrying out the planned /breakdown maintenance Activities.
** Involves isolation & normalization of system as per approved Permit System (Log out Tag out System).
** Preparation of Checklists and log sheets.
** Preparation of isolating procedures.
** Preparation and implementation of various operating procedures.
Responsibilities handled during commissioning :
** Co-ordination with team for day-to-day commissioning activities as per schedule.
** Performing logic checks of various systems.
** Cross checking the commissioning activities against procedures.
** Participating in walk downs for Turn over packages of various systems.
** Working as team member in Start-up team, which operates complete CCPP.
Commissioning activities involved :
Gas Turbine :
Lube oil system flushing, Fuel gas line blowing, VIGV checking, Motor Roll, Ignition torch test, Mapping in cold and hot conditions.
HRSG :
Hydro test, Alkali flushing, Steam blowing, Safety valve floating, dossing system.
Water Steam Cycle :
Hydro test of piping, Mass flushing of condensate and feed water piping, Cold & Hot Commissioning of drives, checking systems at Function group levels/sequencer levels, Steam blowing of By-pass system & Main steam piping,
Steam Turbine :
Lube oil and EHC oil system flushing, By-pass operation, tight ness testing of valves, Rolling of Turbine with different steam conditions, Load through tests.
Balance of Plant :
Cooling water pumps, Clarified water pumps, Raw water pumps, Air compressor commissioning. Passivation of CW piping after mass flushing.
EDUCATION :
B.E Production engg (MECHANICAL) with an aggregate of 62% from ACHARYA NAGARJUNA UNIVERSITY, ANDHRA PRADESH.
PGDC in NATIONAL POWER TRAINING INSTITUTE (NPTI) with 210MW Pulverized fuel boiler operation simulation done with ‘A’ grade.
